Old lead candles kill birds, too. Don’t those morning practices suck?! Now do it dragging a 2 and 3 year old out into the friggin’ cold….that won’t let anyone else but mom carry them. Been doing it since they were born. It sucks. Makes me hate hockey and basketball and football and whatever other sport those damn older kids play. Me and the Wee Ones DO NOT LIKE MORNINGS. And tomorrow is a perfect example of having to drag them out of bed into the snow to go to a “shoot around” for bxb. Stupid!

Hi Tanis – don’t mean to be a worrywart, but this is the time of the year when heating systems come back on, and both birds died the same night? I’d add my voice to the rest – you really should check and see if you have carbon monoxide problems – do you heat with natural gas?

I’ve heard that cooking with Teflon can kill birds as well. They say it’s only if the pan is heated past 500 deg., but there is controversy over this.
