It’s a national holiday up here in the land of the north. It’s Canada Day.
Which means I’m eating Canadian bacon for breakfast, going to have poutine for lunch and beer for supper. I’ll also be wearing a toque while I go and ogle some fine Canadian Mounties later today.
I may even celebrate our Country’s national day by heading out to spend some fine friendly Canadian Tire money.
Who says Canadians aren’t patriotic?
So from my beaver to yours the land of the Beaver, I wish you all a happy Canada day.

Enjoy.
That’s right baby.
I. AM. CANADIAN.
***Anyone in the Edmonton area this weekend that is interested in meeting HerBadMother, Motherbumper or myself, let me know. I’m trying to organize something for the SV Mom’s Road Trip. All beavers welcome.***

Couldn’t help but think of you when I saw that. Much love on Canada Day.

I checked google maps. Unless those bastards are lying to me again, I’ll be there in one day and 16 hours.
Save me a beer!
Jenn
I tried to spend my Canadian Tire money today, but the buggers were closed. You think of ALL stores that would be open on Canada Day, Canadian Tire would be one of them!
Happy Canada day!

I’d like to meet up with you guys but it depends on Katie and how she’s behaving and how much my husband can stand of her. Can I send a maybe?
Amber
I think you’re supposed to have donuts, too. It’s practically obligatory. Or at least that’s what I’m telling myself.
Happy Canada Day!
always home and uncool
Have a double double at Tim Horton’s on me, eh?
Neil
Congrats on this special national holiday to my favorite Canadian redneck!
Lisa
Happy Canada Day.
I can’t wait to head up to the motherland this summer to visit my family and eat some poutine (yum, poutine). Don’t tell my mom I go home more for poutine than to see her
Mik
Happy Canada day from just over the border.

When I learned, at 29 years of age, that I’m Canadian (long story), I bought a number of books to help me learn about the culture and history of my fatherland, including:
“So You Want to Be Canadian”
“How to Be a Canadian”
“Canadian History for Dummies”
I quickly devoured the first two. The third one is kinda long, so I haven’t found time for it yet. But I have to say, I understood EVERY SINGLE ONE of those Canadian vocab words you just used. And I learned them in those books. This is so awesome!

Is this like our Fourth of July stuff? If so, why the hell are you Canadians trying to upstage us by celebrating three days earlier? You think you’re better than us? You wanna take this outside?
Happy Canada day! I hope whatever y’all do up there to celebrate was fun.
Sarah @ BecomingSarah.com
I hope you enjoyed Canada Day!
I’m also wondering more or less the same thing as Irrational Dad. Has Canada Day always been on July 1st? If so, I guess I’m fulfilling that classic American stereotype. I AM IGNORANT, HEAR ME ROAR.

LOVE the I.AM.CANADIAN clips… all of them!
Happy Canada Day (belated now!) to you too!

Happy Canada Day from the north coast of California – that’s in the States. We’ll be back…the kids love Tim Horton.

I’m not even going to ask what ‘poutine’ is. But it sounds like what me and my daughter call our private parts.
Natasha
Ha! I posted the same video on MY blog for Canada Day. Awesome. Favourite parts: “And the best part of North America!!” YA!!
Natasha
Oh, and I’d like to meet up. Of course, it just happens to be my daughter’s 6th birthday! UGH. Awful timing. There might be something cool we could do in Edmonton though on her birthday and I could squeeze in a visit. Where? When? Please let me know.
